The 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is currently taking place at the Expo Centre Sharjah. The event is showcasing the latest and most exclusive jewellery designs.
The exhibition is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah, with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). It is known as the region’s largest and most important event for luxury jewellery and watches.
One of the main highlights this year is the “Union Frame,” which has been recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest gold frame.
This impressive piece is being shown for the first time at the exhibition. It is made entirely from 21-karat pure gold. Golden Arabia Jewellery created the frame under the theme “Art that Tells the Story of a Nation.”
The frame represents a mix of skilled craftsmanship and national pride. It is designed to reflect the strong spirit of the UAE’s union. The artwork is rooted in the country’s heritage and looks forward to its future ambitions. This grand creation brings together the UAE’s historical and cultural landmarks in one piece. It tells the story of the Union, from its ancient past to its successful present.
The frame includes detailed gold carvings of famous landmarks from all seven emirates. These include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which stands for tolerance and harmony; the Quran Roundabout in Sharjah, a symbol of the emirate’s cultural role in the Arab world; and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Other landmarks featured are the historic Dhayah Fort in Ras Al Khaimah, known as the oldest fort in the region; Umm Al Quwain’s Museum and Fort; Fujairah Fort, which shows traditional architecture; and the Ajman Museum.
Another major attraction at the show is Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery’s display. The company is presenting 100,000 unique jewellery pieces in one exhibition space. This reflects the wealth and variety of the UAE’s jewellery industry.
To attract customers, the company is offering a 15 percent discount for the first time at this exhibition. The collection includes high-end diamond jewellery and exclusive precious stone pieces. Visitors can explore a wide range of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and gemstone-studded items. The display highlights the excellent skill of Emirati designers and the company’s focus on combining tradition with modern style.
