Hill & Co. has promoted Amy Curran to the position of director of strategic initiatives.
Curran joined the consulting firm in 2021 as the business operations lead, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She brings over 40 years of experience from various industries, including luxury retail, merchandising, gemology, and strategy consulting.
In her new role, Curran will manage important long-term projects across the company.
She will also work closely with the executive team and support clients on their most critical growth projects, Hill & Co. said.
Curran holds a degree in geological sciences. After completing her education, she began working in fine jewelry retail. Over time, she advanced from customer service management to vice president of merchandising at Fortunoff Jewelry, according to LinkedIn.
Later, she started her own consulting firm. Through this, she advised leading companies in the diamond, gemstone, and jewelry industries.
Curran is a member of the American Gem Society, where she earned the Registered Jeweler designation.
She has also served as a board member for the GIA Alumni chapter.
Currently, she belongs to the Women’s Jewelry Association and has been the education chair for its New York Metro chapter.
Hill & Co. credited Curran with playing a key role in creating “The List.” This is a directory of verified buyers in the global jewelry supply chain that the company launched earlier this year.
The List is an AI-powered database that complies with GDPR rules. It helps businesses find the right decision-makers in retail, manufacturing, wholesale, technology, and labs.
Elle Hill, founder and CEO of Hill & Co., praised Curran’s work on The List.
She said, “Amy has shaped every part of The List. From identifying decision-makers and setting data quality standards to designing its features, she brought the same care and precision she has shown throughout her career. This promotion recognizes her efforts and marks the next step. We are excited to build the future with Amy leading the way.”
Curran expressed her excitement about her new role and continuing to improve The List.
She said, “We built The List to eliminate guesswork and wasted outreach. It provides businesses with accurate, relevant, and high-quality business intelligence. It has been an honor to help create such a powerful tool. I look forward to further developing it in this new position.”
