Formula E and Laofengxiang have announced a new partnership. China’s oldest jewellery brand will be the Official Trophy Provider for the 2025 Hankook Shanghai E-Prix.
This marks the first time a Chinese luxury brand has partnered with an FIA World Championship. Laofengxiang will make its debut in motorsport through this collaboration.
The brand has designed and hand-crafted eight unique trophies. These trophies will be awarded to the winning driver and team, as well as the second and third place drivers, at Rounds 10 and 11 of Season 11.
A Blend of Tradition and Innovation
Founded in 1848, Laofengxiang has more than 177 years of heritage. The partnership combines the brand’s rich history with the modern, forward-thinking nature of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Yang Yi, Chairman of Laofengxiang, said the partnership aligns with the brand’s goals of renewal and global expansion. He added that Formula E’s status as the world’s first all-electric FIA World Championship, with a net zero carbon footprint, connects strongly with Laofengxiang’s focus on sustainability.
Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer of Formula E, said the partnership brings innovation and new local engagement to the sport. He highlighted that working with China’s oldest jewellery brand helps introduce Formula E to new audiences in an authentic way.
Special Exhibition to Mark the Partnership
To celebrate the collaboration, Laofengxiang will display a Formula E GEN3 Evo race car outside its flagship store on Nanjing East Road Walking Street.
Fans will have a rare chance to see the fastest accelerating FIA single-seater race car up close. They will also be able to view the specially designed trophies before the 2025 Hankook Shanghai E-Prix.
This partnership adds a local touch to Formula E’s return to China. It also shows the championship’s dedication to building long-term, culturally meaningful partnerships in important host cities around the world.
