Kayden Hitchler, a senior at Cedarburg High School, has been honored for winning the 2025 Love Has Many Facets Jewelry Design Competition. The achievement was celebrated during a special “Meet the Artist” event.
The competition, now an annual tradition, was co-founded by local business owners Patty Gallun Hansen of Gallun Fine Jewelry and Jack Henke of Henke and Associates. It is supported by Port Washington State Bank.
Hitchler’s winning entry, a ring titled Sea Breeze, impressed the judges with its elegant design. For his creativity, Hitchler received a $500 cash prize and the very first production piece of his ring.
The Sea Breeze ring is crafted from sterling silver and features a 0.10-carat lab-grown diamond. It is currently available for purchase at Gallun Fine Jewelry for $265.
What makes the competition unique is its commitment to giving back. Seventy-five percent of the profits from each ring sold will go directly to the Cedarburg High School Art Department. The funds will help pay for art supplies, student programs, and future creative opportunities.
“We are counting on Cedarburg and the surrounding community to rally once again,” said Gallun Hansen. “Each purchase makes a real impact — providing funds for art supplies, programming, and future student opportunities. Plus, you’ll own a beautiful piece of jewelry designed by a local student!”
