Ukrainian jewelry brand SOVA has crafted exclusive stage jewelry for Ziferblat, the band representing Ukraine at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The designs, shaped like mallows, are part of a complete visual concept created by fashion designer Ivan Frolov. In Ukrainian culture, the mallow flower symbolizes memory, strength, and hope. The flower not only appears on the band’s costumes but is also echoed in the jewelry, making the visual story unified and expressive.
SOVA jewelers brought this symbol to life with a dramatic double ring for lead singer Danila and bold pendants for the other band members. Each piece is handmade. The petals are soft and fluid, following the natural shape of a real mallow. SOVA worked closely with Frolov to develop the initial sketches for the collection.
“We believe jewelry can speak,” said Anna Koval, commercial director of SOVA. “And this time, our jewelry speaks with the voice of Ukraine. It was our first time creating pieces as part of a full stage image. It’s not just about shape and color, but about crafting a visual language for the performance.”
The jewelry first appeared during Ziferblat’s second rehearsal on the main Eurovision stage, giving audiences a glimpse of the full look.
Each item is made of silver and finished with brightly colored enamel—deep crimson, rich blue, and soft turquoise—colors that match the band’s costumes. Every piece has a unique color to reflect the personality of each performer.
On the back of each item, engravings of the SOVA, FROLOV, and Ziferblat logos highlight the collaboration between music, design, and jewelry craftsmanship.
All pieces are exclusive and were produced as one-of-a-kind items. The development process took several months, from concept to completion. However, the journey wasn’t without obstacles. After Ziferblat’s first rehearsal in Basel, Danila’s original oversized ring was stolen. In just four days, SOVA jewelers managed to recreate it in time for the next performance.
Despite the setback, the team remains positive. “We believe this is a good omen,” the brand said.
