The Santos de Cartier watch, a timeless design from the luxury brand, has received a stylish update. Cartier has introduced a smaller version of the iconic watch, now measuring 27mm in width and 34.5mm in height—dimensions that hark back to the original models of the collection.
This new compact version stays true to the legacy of Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Brazilian aviation pioneer for whom Cartier first created the watch. Known for its square shape and distinctive visible screws, the design remains a hallmark of the Santos de Cartier collection.
Despite its smaller size, the new model keeps the same key design features as the larger versions, including clean lines, precise shapes, and elegant details. The industrial look of the visible screws is balanced by a refined aesthetic. The updated version also introduces a sunray-effect dial and a high-autonomy quartz movement, carefully adapted to fit the smaller case.
The new petite Santos de Cartier is available in a variety of styles: steel, yellow gold, and a mix of both steel and yellow gold. Like its larger counterparts, this model offers the option of interchangeable metal bracelets or calf leather straps. Non-precious models come with a smooth calfskin strap, while the all-gold version is paired with an alligator strap. Both leather straps feature an ardillon buckle, complementing the watch’s sophisticated design.
