Kim Kardashian made a striking courtroom appearance on May 13, wearing jewelry reportedly worth $8 million as she testified in the ongoing trial of suspects involved in her 2016 Paris robbery.
The reality TV star, who was robbed at gunpoint nearly a decade ago, returned to the French capital to take the stand against those accused in the high-profile case. According to Laura Taylor, a jewelry expert from Lorel Diamonds, Kardashian chose high-end pieces that included a diamond-studded ear cuff and a large diamond ring.
The 43-year-old wore an $8,100 18-karat white gold ear cuff from Briony Raymond. She also sported a large emerald-cut diamond ring that closely resembled the 20-carat piece once gifted to her by ex-husband Kanye West—a ring that was stolen during the robbery and has never been recovered.
To complete her look, Kardashian paired the ring with a diamond necklace and several earrings. The sparkling accessories contrasted with her simple all-black outfit, drawing attention to the statement jewelry.
This appearance marked a sharp contrast to her style choices in the years immediately following the incident. After the robbery, in which more than $10 million in jewelry was taken, Kardashian significantly toned down her use of luxury accessories. In a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, she admitted that she had considered giving up diamonds altogether, saying she was “ready to give” them up entirely.
Now, nearly 10 years later, Kardashian’s return to wearing high-value gems in public—especially at a legal proceeding related to the robbery—marks a powerful moment in her personal and public life.
