Vietnam made a strong impression at the recent “Jewelry of Asia” festival held at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event, organized by the Association of Asian Ambassadors’ Wives of Geneva (AAWAG), brought together diplomatic missions from various Asian countries to participate in charity activities.
The Vietnamese delegation showcased a wide range of traditional products, including handicrafts and souvenirs. They also donated gifts for fundraising raffles. Their booth attracted a large number of visitors and contributed to the event’s vibrant and meaningful atmosphere.
Vietnam’s participation underscores its efforts to promote its culture internationally and strengthen relationships with other Asian countries, as well as the global community in Geneva.
In her speech, Maria Consuelo Sorreta, President of AAWAG, highlighted that the Gem Festival is more than just a cultural celebration. It also serves as a platform for raising funds to support projects aiding women, children, and communities affected by conflicts and natural disasters in Asia. This year marks the festival’s fifth edition.
The event featured a lively atmosphere with music, and each participating country presented its traditional gems and cultural stories.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit charities that assist disadvantaged children across Asia.
