Bvlgari, the renowned international jewelry brand, is returning to its roots in Epirus, Greece. This small town is where its founder, Sotirios Bulgaris, began his career as a jewelry craftsman in the 19th century.
Currently, Bvlgari is in talks with local authorities in Paramythia, the town where the first Bulgari shop was opened. They plan to revive this original store. In addition, Bvlgari aims to establish a jewelry school and a museum in the town.
According to a report by Proto Thema, the Mayor of Souli, the municipality that includes Paramythia, recently met with members of the Bulgari family and executives of the company in Rome. The purpose was to discuss these revival plans.
“The Bvlgari school will open next summer, and the restoration of the first family store founded by Sotirios Voulgaris is underway,” said Mayor Thanasis Danis in an interview with Proto Thema.
He also added that the grand opening will be a special event. Members of the Bulgari family and distinguished guests from Greece and abroad are expected to attend.
