Cartier has long drawn inspiration from nature in its designs. Animals like the iconic panther, crocodile, and elephant have been key symbols in the maison’s jewellery. The Nature Sauvage collection takes this connection to a new level.
The third chapter of Nature Sauvage was unveiled last month in Singapore. This marks the final part of the collection. The first chapter debuted in Vienna last June, followed by the second chapter in Shanghai in November.
For two weeks, the historic Former Command House on Kheam Hock Road was transformed into a special exhibition space. This national monument hosted a six-part display to highlight the Nature Sauvage collection and Cartier’s wider creative world.
Jacqueline Karachi, Cartier’s director of high jewellery creation, describes Nature Sauvage as a fresh take on Cartier’s animal motifs. She says the collection aims to surprise and amaze, bringing a modern touch through unexpected designs.
“Nature Sauvage features expressive jewellery that captures the spirit and personality of each animal,” Karachi explains. “Like an actor, the pieces play with shapes, volume, and visual effects. They create a sense of movement and blend into an imaginative natural world. This is the essence of Nature Sauvage.”
