Bonhams has appointed Celine Assimon as its new Chief Commercial Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial strategy, client engagement, and brand development to the auction house.
Before joining Bonhams, Assimon served as CEO of De Beers London. There, she led a significant brand transformation, expanded the company’s retail presence internationally, and introduced customer-focused strategies, according to Bonhams.
Her previous roles include CEO of De Beers Forevermark, CEO of De Grisogono, and senior leadership positions at Richemont and Louis Vuitton. At Piaget, she was the international director for high jewelry and exceptional pieces.
Assimon is also a certified diamond graduate from the Gemological Institute of America.
Based in London, Assimon will oversee Bonhams’ global commercial strategy and client experience. Her responsibilities will include aligning the auction house’s commercial vision with its growing global platform, ensuring sustained growth and innovation across its diverse portfolio of categories.
Bonhams’ Global CEO, Chabi Nouri, welcomed Assimon’s appointment, saying, “Her deep knowledge of the luxury market and strong leadership will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our client relationships and enhance Bonhams’ global commercial reach.”
