Blundy has officially entered the UK fine jewellery market with the opening of seven stores under its Jewells brand in major cities, including London, Essex, Brighton, and Newcastle. Initially, the company had planned to open 15 stores, but later scaled back the number. Blundy has confirmed that more Jewells stores will be opening across the UK in the coming months.
Peter Bohn, CEO of Jewells, previously worked with Blundy at Lovisa and Diva. Bohn emphasized the bold approach of Jewells, saying, “From day one, we set out to meet our customers where they love to shop and impress them.” He added, “These seven stores are just the beginning, and we’re excited for what’s to come.”
Blundy, the chairman of BB Retail Capital, founded Lovisa in 2010 as an extension of Diva. Today, Lovisa operates nearly 1,000 stores globally.
Jewells has also launched a YouTube channel to showcase a series of documentary-style videos about the chain’s store openings. Leah Uka, Chief Brand and Operating Officer, explained that the brand is designed to connect with customers through every detail. “The collection has been carefully curated to reflect the elegance and energy of the brand, preparing us for growth,” she said. “This coordinated opening is just the beginning of an exciting journey ahead.”
Jewells Retail Limited, established in November 2024, lists Christopher Lauder as a director. Lauder is also a director at Lovisa.
