Bendable snake jewellery has become a rising trend in the fashion world, driven by celebrity endorsements and viral social media posts. Many fashion enthusiasts are now adding this eye-catching accessory to their collections.
One such enthusiast is 20-year-old Vernika Kundra, who discovered the trend on Instagram. “It was so popular that I had to have it,” she said. “I almost bought it from a street vendor but was unsure about the quality and colour. Then I found someone else had paid £33,000 for the same piece. It was worth it because it was gold-plated and safe for my sensitive skin.”
Driven by High-End Fashion Brands
Designers say the jewellery’s popularity is influenced by luxury fashion houses and celebrity style. Jewellery designer Maithili Kabre explains that the snake motif has become a classic element in contemporary fashion.
“The Bulgari Serpenti choker was the main inspiration for the pieces we see in many jewellery stores today,” she said.
This iconic snake-shaped necklace has been worn by stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Zendaya. Their appearances have helped turn the design into a symbol of strength, elegance and timeless beauty.
A Versatile Fashion Statement
While the snake choker began as a high-end piece, fashion lovers have adapted it into a versatile accessory. The bendable design allows it to pair easily with a range of outfits and styles.
Stylist Saamra Sameer says the trend has broad appeal. “These bendable pieces are visually striking and supported by pop culture. They are bold yet comfortable to wear, trendy but also timeless,” she said.
Quality Meets Flexibility
Designer Dishi Somani, founder of a jewellery brand, highlights the unique materials used. “The accessory is often crafted from high-quality alloys that bend and twist without losing shape,” she said. “Luxury versions are made with fine gold woven around a flexible wire core. Some also feature gemstones for added glamour.”
As bendable snake jewellery continues to appear in fashion feeds and celebrity wardrobes, it is proving to be more than just a trend. With strong symbolism, elegant design and everyday versatility, it has carved a lasting place in modern jewellery collections.
