Roshumba Williams has long been a powerful figure in fashion. She has walked for iconic designers, appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, and inspired many with her grace, beauty, and strength.
For her 2025 comeback shoot with photographer Yu Tsai in Jamaica, Williams added a special touch: a custom necklace by New York designer Presley Oldham. This piece was made using elements from the archives of Presley’s uncle, Todd Oldham. The gold hardware in the necklace once appeared on the same runway where Williams walked decades ago.
“The necklace Roshumba is wearing is very special because it holds both her history and mine,” Presley Oldham told SI Swimsuit. “She walked for my uncle Todd many times. The gold parts in the necklace were originally made for his runway shows by my father. I’m not sure if she knew this when she put it on, but it feels like fate that this piece ended up with her.”
The bold accessory is a dramatic draped design that can also be worn as a belt. It combines blush pink freshwater coin pearls with sculptural parts taken from vintage handbag straps and clasps. Mixing old and new is a key part of Oldham’s creative style, and this piece reflects that. Presley and his uncle began their jewelry collaboration in 2022, turning saved buttons and metal findings into wearable art.
“All the metal used in my uncle’s collections was made by my dad. Now, I had the chance to work with it too,” Presley said.
