On Tuesday, June 3, Thierry and Arnaud Gillier, the brothers behind fashion label Zadig & Voltaire, announced they have acquired the independent French jeweler Poiray.
The luxury jewelry house, also known for its presence in the watchmaking industry, was previously owned by Jean-Paul Bize through his company AMS Group. The acquisition also includes the Aurélie Bidermann jewelry brand.
The purchase was made via the Gillier brothers’ investment firm, Iena Investissements. While the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, the move reflects a clear strategy to diversify and reduce business risk by entering one of the most dynamic segments of the luxury market.
With this acquisition, the Gilliers expand their influence beyond fashion into fine jewelry, a sector showing steady demand and high growth potential.
