Just as Paris Fashion Week is a major event for the fashion industry, JCK and Luxury hold the same importance for the gem and jewelry world. This year, these two key shows, organized by RX Global, will take place at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from June 4 to June 9.
JCK is the larger event, bringing together experts and enthusiasts from gems, jewelry, luxury, and fashion worldwide. The theme for 2025 is “Decades.” JCK will celebrate beautiful jewelry and fashion styles from different time periods. Visitors can also enjoy interactive experiences and lounges that offer both education and entertainment, highlighting the best moments in jewelry and fashion history.
Discovering New Trends at JCK and Luxury
A few days before the show, this writer spoke with Sarin Bachmann, Senior Vice President of RX’s jewelry portfolio. This portfolio includes JCK, Luxury, JIS events, JCK Online, and JCK Magazine. Bachmann explained the ongoing importance of these events and the new features planned for this year.
“For over 30 years, JCK has been the place where retailers, designers, brands, manufacturers, wholesalers, consultants, and media discover new jewelry materials, concepts, and trends before they reach the market,” Bachmann said. JCK and Luxury are also important hubs for sourcing a wide range of gem and jewelry products. These shows bring together attendees from over 100 countries. They also offer professionally led talks and panel discussions with experts, providing the latest business insights to help participants stay ahead.
Luxury’s Exclusive Selection of High-End Jewelers
Bachmann noted that Luxury focuses on the highest-end retailers and elite jewelers. It features designs from famous brands and emerging designers in the “Design at Luxury” section. She explained, “Luxury is a carefully curated, invitation-only show. It connects top retailers, vendors, brands, and designers for business before JCK officially opens.”
Luxury runs by appointment only on June 4 and 5. From June 6 to 9, it opens its doors to all retailers and media members.
Instead of expanding to include more brands, Luxury aims to maintain a selective approach by showcasing only the finest high-end jewelers and brands. New exhibitors this year include Hueb, Corielle, Al Zain, WOLF, and Shiva Designs.
Luxury will also host special events, such as a breakfast and keynote speech on June 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the San Polo ballroom on level 3. The keynote speaker will be Duncan Wardle, Head of Innovation & Creativity at The Walt Disney Company. Bachmann said Wardle will share his experience on how creativity, emotional storytelling, and technical skill can inspire the jewelry industry.
JCK’s Vibrant Neighborhoods
Regarding JCK, Bachmann shared that the event features over 20 distinct neighborhoods. These include areas dedicated to jewelry, gemstones, diamonds, products, and services, with more than 1,800 exhibitors in total.
Designers are spread throughout the show floor, with a special focus on designer jewelry found in the Design Collective. This includes Rising Stars and well-established designers. Other popular neighborhoods include Fashion Bridge and Currents.
JCK also partners with the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC), which brings talented emerging designers to the event each year. This year, BIJC will showcase designers Rejected Hearts Club and Chee Lee in the Design Collective area on Level 2. Another BIJC member, Dorian Webb, will exhibit at Luxury in the Design at Luxury section.
