Webb’s Fair and Square gallery will host its annual jewelry show featuring artist Margaret Sullivan this Saturday, May 24, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will take place at the gallery’s location in the historic Masonic Lodge at 105 North Front Street. Guests can enjoy refreshments, music, art, and a relaxing afternoon on the porch.
This gathering marks the 10th year the Webb family has held the show to celebrate both Sullivan’s artistic achievements and her birthday.
“Come out for some fun with Margaret, some laughs, and a chance to buy some kick-ass jewelry,” said gallery co-owner Julie Webb. “We’ve stocked the space with fun supplies, great books, and new artwork from Melissa Lakey and many others.”
Margaret Sullivan creates her handcrafted jewelry from a solar-powered studio on the Nbar Ranch, deep in the Gila National Forest of New Mexico. She discovered her passion for jewelry-making in the late 1980s while working at Half Price Books in Dallas. Her fascination began with religious reliquaries she found in the pages of old books.
Sullivan crafts each piece using silver, gold, and copper, infusing her designs with a sense of humor and personal style. Every item is a one-of-a-kind creation. Over the years, she has studied under Navajo jewelers and continues to challenge herself with new techniques and themes.
The show promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and craftsmanship.
