A1 Digital has launched an innovative IoT-based solution to enhance the security of transporting high-value jewellery. Developed in collaboration with Feichtinger Schmuckhandel, one of Austria’s largest jewellery retailers with 20 branches nationwide, the new system sets a higher standard for transport monitoring.
Feichtinger faced the challenge not only of tracking the transport boxes but also of immediately detecting any unauthorized access. To address this, A1 Digital used its well-established Asset Insight platform, adapting it specifically to meet the needs of jewellery transport.
Key features of the system include high-performance trackers with long battery life, accurate magnetic sensors that detect when boxes are opened, and mobile network-based real-time communication. The system sends automatic alerts via email or SMS to predefined contacts in case of any issues.
The solution is designed to be easily expandable, allowing for future upgrades as needs evolve. A1 Digital also provides regular updates and professional support to ensure the system remains secure and effective over time.
