RobinHood Diamonds hosted its inaugural press breakfast on Thursday, offering editors and influencers a chance to experience the company’s approach to transforming the diamond jewelry industry. The event, held at the company’s modern showroom, focused on making diamonds more affordable, transparent, and accessible.
Guests, including digital and print media representatives, were invited to meet the co-founders and team members of RobinHood Diamonds. They had the opportunity to watch artisans craft custom diamond jewelry while engaging in casual conversations about the company’s mission.
“I love that I can shop for conflict-free, American-made diamond jewelry! RobinHood is shopping local while staying fabulous!” said Maureen Tokeson-Martin, founder of divagalsdaily.com.
The event gave attendees the chance to observe jewelers at their workstations, witnessing firsthand the detailed process behind the company’s bespoke designs.
Diego León, founder of dandyinthebronx.com, shared his thoughts: “Watching the artisans at RobinHood Diamonds work was like seeing a bespoke suit come to life—precision, passion, and purpose all in one place. It’s a brilliant step forward in sustainability and style.”
RobinHood Diamonds specializes in lab-grown diamonds, created through advanced technological methods that mimic the natural diamond formation process. These diamonds share the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as mined diamonds. They are also certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
One of the key benefits of lab-grown diamonds is their environmental impact. Traditional diamond mining can significantly harm ecosystems, while lab-grown diamonds require far fewer natural resources, making them a more sustainable option. Additionally, lab-grown diamonds are typically more affordable, allowing customers to purchase larger or higher-quality stones at a lower cost.
The company is focused on building relationships with local media outlets and influencers in the Tri-State area. This is part of its strategy to make luxury jewelry more accessible to a new generation of buyers who may find traditional retail settings intimidating.
RobinHood Diamonds also plans to host more community-centered events, including picnics in Central Park, to set itself apart from more conventional, formal diamond jewelry brands.
This event is the latest in a series of announcements from RobinHood Diamonds. The company, which describes itself as “avant-garde,” will unveil additional creative designs and initiatives in the months ahead.
