New York — Swarovski, the esteemed purveyor of fine jewelry, is poised to introduce its lab-grown diamond jewelry collection, known as “Swarovski Created Diamonds,” to international markets following its successful debut in the United States and Canada.

This expansion strategy will see the collection become available in all of Swarovski’s flagship stores and key markets across the globe, including China, Italy, Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Austria, and the United Arab Emirates.

Swarovski’s journey into the realm of lab-grown diamonds commenced in 2016 when it incorporated these ethical and sustainable gems into its B2B portfolio. Subsequently, the brand made a significant foray into the consumer-facing fine jewelry market around 2018.

Notably, Swarovski is set to unveil its highly anticipated lab-grown diamond “Galaxy” collection this month. This exquisite collection marks a historic milestone, being the first fine jewelry line conceived under the creative direction of Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert.

The grand reveal of the “Galaxy” collection will coincide with the inauguration of Swarovski’s new Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City later this autumn. Customers in the United States and Canada can purchase these exceptional pieces starting September 18th, with plans for a global rollout in the near future.

In a move that underscores Swarovski’s commitment to quality and transparency, the company has announced a strategic partnership with the International Gemological Institute (IGI). This collaboration will see IGI certifying all the lab-grown diamonds featured in the forthcoming “Galaxy” collection.

Swarovski’s CEO, Alexis Nasard, expressed the brand’s vision for the role of lab-grown diamonds in the future of the diamond category, stating, “Lab-grown diamonds will play a significant role in the future of the diamonds category, and they represent a strategic growth category for Swarovski.” He added, “Our partnership with IGI will guarantee the quality of each stone in our forthcoming Swarovski Created Diamonds collections, enhancing consumer trust and confidence during our global rollout.”

Roland Lorie, the current CEO of IGI, echoed the sentiment, saying, “Swarovski has been renowned for its precision cutting, innovation, and artistry since 1895. We are pleased our new partnership will ensure that every single stone is graded and certified according to the 4Cs of diamond quality.”

With its expansion into new international markets and commitment to ethical, lab-grown diamonds, Swarovski is poised to further solidify its position as a leading innovator in the world of fine jewelry.
