Indriya, Aditya Birla Jewellery, has unveiled its latest regional masterpiece, ‘Rajmudra,’ a 22kt gold jewellery piece that celebrates the rich history and cultural spirit of Maharashtra. The intricate design of Rajmudra reflects the state’s pride, heritage, and cherished traditions, making it a stunning tribute brought to life through fine jewellery artistry.
The piece is crafted in three regal layers, each symbolizing key aspects of Maharashtra’s legacy:
Vajratik Haar: The first layer features the iconic Chandrakor Tilak of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the unyielding Vajratik Haar, representing strength and the glorious history of the Shindeshahi era. Just as an elephant moves forward undeterred by obstacles, this layer stands as a tribute to the resilient warriors of Maharashtra, made with 22KT gold.
Simha Haar: The second layer highlights the majestic lion, symbolizing Shivaji Maharaj’s fierce defense of freedom. It also includes the delicate Bor Mala, representing endurance and heritage. The golden beads echo the resilience of the ber fruit, binding tradition and strength into an enduring piece of jewellery.
Saaj Haar: The final layer features a sacred gold thread that connects the other two layers. Each leaf symbolizes dharma and destiny, recalling the ten avatars of Vishnu, who walked the earth to restore balance. It is a silent homage to faith and protection.
Through intricate craftsmanship and innovation, Rajmudra transforms historical grandeur into wearable art, showcasing Maharashtra’s rich cultural legacy.
In addition to Rajmudra, Indriya recently launched Anantara, inspired by the artistic heritage of Hyderabad. This collection marks the brand’s ongoing journey to celebrate India’s cultural diversity and commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship through timeless designs.
Sandeep Kohli, CEO of Indriya, said, “Rajmudra perfectly exemplifies our commitment to preserving India’s artistic and historical narratives, especially from culturally significant regions like Maharashtra. We blend thoughtful design with innovative techniques to ensure these stories are carried forward.”
Abhishek Rastogi, Head of Product Design, Research & Development at Indriya, shared, “Rajmudra’s design reflects the essence of Maharashtra. We’ve combined traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities to create a piece that embodies the state’s pride, now in gold.”
Since its founding in 2024, Indriya has quickly expanded across India, with 22 stores in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Pune, Indore, Surat, and more. The brand’s rapid growth signals its deepening presence in the Indian luxury market.
