Phillips will showcase a selection of high-end jewelry, featuring signed pieces, rare colored gemstones, and diamonds, at its upcoming New York Jewels auction on June 12.
The auction’s highlight is a starfish brooch by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. The piece, crafted with tsavorites, sapphires, and diamonds, is described as a “striking expression of Jean Schlumberger’s visionary design,” according to Cristina Rodrigo, Phillips’ head of sale. This iconic brooch aligns with Tiffany’s 2025 Blue Book collection, Sea of Wonder, inspired by Schlumberger’s 1960s ocean-themed designs.
The auction’s top lots include a 3.03-carat fancy intense pink diamond, estimated between $1.2 million and $1.6 million, and a 13.36-carat Colombian emerald with a $300,000 to $500,000 estimate. The emerald comes with five certifications, including Muzo provenance.
Also on offer are Van Cleef & Arpels pieces, such as a diamond necklace from the Folie des Prés collection and a diamond bangle in the Galuchat style, both valued at $40,000–$60,000. Additionally, two emerald and diamond pieces, attributed to Chaumet—a necklace and a pair of earclips—will be auctioned.
Other noteworthy items include a sculptural garnet ring by Hemmerle, a 1930s rock crystal brooch by Boivin, and a classic Trombino ring by Bulgari, featuring a 14.03-carat unheated Ceylon sapphire.
The preview exhibition for New York Jewels will take place from June 8–11 at Phillips’ galleries located at 432 Park Ave. in Manhattan.
